Presenter Biography

Karen Tompkins has her Honours Degree in Drama in Education with a focus on Developmental Psychology from the University of WIndsor. In addition, she has a Special Education Specialist with her Bacherlor of Education. She has worked in Special Education in secondary schools at a variety of levels. She has also studied intensively in the areas of Sensory Processing Therapy and Austism Spectrum Disorders.

Most importantly, she has a child with Joubert Syndrome (www.jsrdf.org) who has taught her more than any university!
